A fixed-scope first engagement for new clients who want to move one clearly defined mechanical design need forward before starting broader support.
 

ABAL can support either a focused design review or a small mechanical design task using available inputs such as sketches, CAD, drawings, packaging requirements, prototype feedback, or supplier comments.
 

Typical starter tasks may include:

Focused design review

• Mechanical design review with written action list

• Packaging, assembly, sealing, mounting, or tolerance risk review

• Supplier-proposed design change review
   

Small mechanical design task

• Initial rough CAD concepts for a simple part or small assembly

• Simple prototype CAD or drawing support

• Basic test fixture concept, CAD, or drawing support

• Simple assembly stack-up or tolerance review
   

*The $650 introductory fee applies to basic starter tasks up to 12 hours. Scope, deliverables, and fit are confirmed before starting.

More complex starter tasks can be quoted separately with introductory first-engagement pricing.

Not included in basic starter tasks: detailed production CAD, full drawing release, deep analysis, full GD&T, FEA/CFD, physical testing, supplier management, or multiple design iterations.

Ongoing work can transition to hourly or monthly support.
