Whether you are developing a new device, improving an existing product, or preparing for manufacturing, we help you move forward efficiently and confidently.

DESIGN SOLUTIONS
Choose the engagement model that fits your scope and schedule. If your project does not fit these options, we can always prepare a custom quote.
Basic CAD Modeling
Simple parts and model cleanup, drawings with untoleranced dimensions
Single Part Design
Design of single parts, considering manufacturing processes, and function. Includes 3D Modeling and 2D drawings with functional basic GD&T.
Assembly Design
Design of assemblies, considering manufacturing processes, assembly methods, and function. Includes 3D Modeling and 2D part and assembly drawings with functional basic GD&T, Bill Of Material.
Monthly Plans (Credit-Based)
Predictable design support with reserved capacity and priority scheduling.
ABAL Mechanical Design offers flexible monthly plans that adapt to your workload and technical needs.
Instead of paying per hour or project, you can secure a set of engineering credits each month that can be applied to any task.
Our credit system keeps things simple and fair:
-
Basic CAD Modeling tasks consume 1.0× credits per hour.
-
Single Part Design tasks consume 1.2× credits per hour.
-
Assembly Design or high-complexity work consumes 1.5× credits per hour.
Each plan includes reserved engineering capacity, meaning part of our schedule is pre-booked exclusively for your projects. This ensures quick response times, consistent progress, and priority support when you need it.
Starter Plan
Credits per month: 20
Perfect for short-term or low-volume needs such as CAD updates, drawing creation, or light DFM reviews.
Includes:
Reserved capacity of roughly 4–6 real hours/week (depending on task complexity)
Priority email response within 1 business day
1 weekly checkpoint to review progress or clarify details
Best for startups or engineering teams needing flexible, on-demand mechanical design support.
Core Plan
Credits per month: 40
Ideal for ongoing projects or continuous collaboration on CAD, DFM/DFA, and directed analysis.
Includes:
Reserved capacity of about 6–10 real hours/week
2 weekly checkpoints for design reviews and alignment
1 express task per month (48-hour turnaround, up to 4 credits)
Priority scheduling for new tasks
Best suited for small and mid-size companies that need reliable mechanical engineering support every week.
Pro Plan
Credits per month: 80
Designed for teams running multiple projects or developing complex mechanical systems.
Includes:
-
Reserved capacity equivalent to 12–16 real hours/week
-
3 weekly checkpoints plus one virtual supplier or prototype review per month
-
Priority handling for urgent requests (no rush fee)
-
Detailed weekly progress report
-
Optional add-on discount for 3D scanning and printing services
Ideal for companies seeking dedicated, senior-level engineering collaboration with consistent output and fast turnaround.
Reverse Engineering, 3D Scanning, and Printed Samples
At ABAL Mechanical Design, we provide precise and efficient reverse engineering and 3D scanning services to help you capture, replicate, or improve existing parts. Whether you need to reproduce a legacy component, check dimensional accuracy, or develop new tooling, we turn physical parts into reliable 3D data ready for design and manufacturing.
3D Scanning
We use professional handheld scanning equipment to capture detailed geometry from small to medium-sized parts.
Our workflow includes:
-
High-resolution mesh capture and alignment
-
Surface cleanup and hole filling
-
Export of clean STL or OBJ meshes for inspection or reference
-
Optional comparison against nominal CAD data
3D scanning is ideal for parts without drawings or when dimensional verification is required before redesign.
Reverse Engineering
We convert scanned data into accurate solid models using SolidWorks and surface-reconstruction tools.
Depending on your project, we offer two levels of output:
-
STEP / Parasolid files: watertight, accurate solid models suitable for manufacturing, quoting, or inspection (non-parametric).
-
Fully remodeled CAD models: reconstructed in SolidWorks with design intent and editable features (parametric).
This flexibility allows you to choose between a fast geometry capture or a full design-ready model, depending on your needs and budget.
3D Printed Samples
We also offer in-house 3D printing for quick validation of fit, form, and function.
-
Materials: PLA, PETG, ABS
-
Build volume up to 256 × 256 × 256 mm
-
Layer height down to 0.1 mm
-
Optional post-processing: sanding, inserts, primer coating
Printed samples provide an efficient way to confirm assembly fit, ergonomics, and critical dimensions before tooling or production.
Typical Applications
-
Recreating legacy parts without CAD data
-
Supporting DFM reviews and tolerance discussions
-
Producing replacement or modified components
-
Creating prototypes or visual mockups for review
Deliverables
Depending on scope, projects may include:
-
Clean STL mesh
-
STEP or Parasolid solid model (non-parametric)
-
Fully remodeled SolidWorks part file (editable)
-
3D printed sample and dimensional summary
